12 Months Old
Weight and Height
20lbs. 8oz.
30.5 inches
Motor and Fine Development
Addison is walking everywhere, practically running!!! She loves to push stuff all around the house. She is obsessed with balls. She can throw them and she loves to chase them. She is into putting all kinds of stuff inside other stuff. It is getting kind of annoying because she will put my stuff inside her stuff and then I can’t find it and I get mad because I thought I misplaced it and then she sees me getting mad and she walks right over to wherever she put it and will get it out and bring it to me and say “momma”!! It’s kind of cute at the same time though. She's pretty good at folowwing commands, we will ask her to go get a particular thing, such as her blocks, and she will go and bring them to us. We have also started to "hide" a particular object under a block and ask her "where is the ball", and she will pick up the block that I hid it under!! She loves to stack her Playhouse Disney blocks and then I say “one, two…” and she will say “eeeeeee” (I think she is trying to say three) and then knocks them all down and claps. When you sneeze she says “booooo”, it’s so cute! She is really getting into doing hand motions to songs. She knows the moves for of course patacake, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider and open shut them.
Food
Addison has now been on whole milk for a couple days now. I started by giving her a little sip of it and she kept signing more and saying more over and over so I gave her a little more. She gulped it down. So since then I have just been giving her that and so no more expensive formula!!!!!!!!!! The child can EAT! She will eat anything you give her. She loves cheese and pasta bites. She had her cupcake on her birthday and devoured it!!!! She also loves pancakes, we eat those a lot!!!
Sleep
Addison is still sleeping great she is still sleeping 12-13 hours at night and taking two 1 ½-2 hour naps.
Verbal Development
This last month she has had like an explosion of words. She says so much. Momma, Dada, daddy, hi, bye, whoa, owe, more, bath, yea, dog, kitty, baby, Dora, Boots, baba, ready, nana, papa, no no no, meow, boo, ball, go, belly, grandmama, Dee, ear, poo poo, roar, whoa, bubble, night night, the end, bow, moo, cheese, ear, and last but not least boobie!!!! She will also say hi momma and hi dada and will call my mom “my nana”, it’s so cute! She signs, milk, eat, more, bath, light, ball, bed and all done.
Teeth
We have 4 bottom teeth and 4 top teeth.
Favorites
One of Addison’s favorite things to do is to say the animal sounds. She knows what the cow, dog, cat, horse, monkey, duck, lion, pig, and donkey says. Her imagination is starting to really develop. She is so into talking on the phone, any phone whether it be the remote, her hand, a book, or her spoon. She says hi dada or hi momma and then she takes these really long pauses like she is really listening to someone and it even looks like she shakes her head like she is understanding what the other person is saying and then if I try to interrupt her she gives me this look like, mom—I’m on the phone!!! She loves playing by herself. She will start doing something and then you will hear her “talking” and playing and you just wonder what she’s thinking!! She loves for you to show her stuff and explain things. She will sit there with you for a while if you are showing her things. She has these Playhouse Disney blocks and on each side of the block is a character or an object like a ball or a balloon, and she loves for you to show her all the sides of the blocks and what’s on them and then I will ask her where the “balloon” is and she will look for it and when she finds it she hands it to me, she’s so darn smart!!!! If you show her something a couple of times she really learns it. Wes kept asking her how old she is and then putting his one finger up and now when you ask her how old she is she holds up one tiny little finger, so cute. Her most favorite thing is DORA. We have seen bits of the show maybe a couple of times and the girl is obsessed. She loves her!! Addison is just getting so big and I love each and every second of her. She is so YUMMY and I love her SOOOOO much and can’t believe she is ONE!!!!!!!

All I have to say is...IT'S GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!!!!! Although right now they are losing to AUBURN and Tebow just threw an interception--oh well they will pull through!! But anyways, I went to the UCF football game tonight with my neighbor (her husband is one of the coaches), her little boy and Addison. It was pretty fun, we tailgated and then had great seats, right in the front, and had a pretty good time BUT there is NOTHING like being at a game in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. There are just no words to describe it, it's kind of like being at Disney when you are a kid and coming off the fairyboat and walking down Main Street with all the Mickey balloons, it's just magical. The new UCF stadium is nice but it just seems like a very fancy highschool stadium compared to Ben Hill Griffin. Even watching the game took me back. It was like watching a really good highschool team compared to watching the Gators. Hopefully I'm not offending any UCF fans out there because I guess I kinda am a small UCF fan but there's just nothing like being a Florida Gator!!! I remember going to the games and tailgating and then sweating our butts off in the student section but having the times of our lives!!!!! IT'S STILL GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!!! (I can still hear the chanting!!!!)
P.S.--Yay!!! They just came up with the fumble(have no clue how to spell that) from Auburn!!!!! Go Gators, come on Gators, get up and GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!Comments:Sandra: It's so funny that you wrote his because I was going to write something similar later today - I went to the USF game and it was a great game but nothing like a gator game.Add a comment:

Ok please-- if anyone is reading this please please please click on the link at the bottom and read this lady's blog entry. It is the funniest thing I have ever read in my life. I was crying I was laughing so hard. It is from a mom who has become famous from her ebay auction of Pokemon cards that her 6 children snuk (is that a word????) into her shopping cart while at the grocery store. She posted the story of the Pokemon cards in the ebay auction and like over a million people viewed the item and the stupid Pokemon cards sold for like $11,000 or something like that. She has been on Good Morning America and all kinds of other shows, I'm sure Oprah is next. But now she has a blog and it is the most hilarious stuff in the world. The link goes to her blog entry that was in the ebay auction of the Pokemon cards but you can also get to her blog from here too. Please take the time to read it because it really is hilarious!!!

Ok..so we decided, rather I decided, that we should try getting to church more often. We really haven't been lately since Addison was really small because I was so afraid she would be wild and want to get down and play. So we got all dressed up and went, on time may I add. Addison was GREAT. She sang when the choir sang and was pretty good the rest of the time. She finally fell asleep on me during the sermon. We went up for communion and Pastor Arp gave her a little blessing, it was very sweet. So I guess we will try and make it more routine because she really did do a lot better than I thought she would. On another note, I know it is very cliche and every mother says it, but I swear Addison is so smart!!!! She just completely and utterly amazes me everyday. We went to the park last night after our afternonn bike ride and a little girl rolled up in her Dora tricycle. As soon as Addison saw the little girl roll up she wanted to get out of the swing so I thought ok so she wants to go play on the other stuff. So I let her out and put her down and the girl practically ran over to the Dora bike and was pointing at it and looking frantically at me and saying "Da Da Da Da" (which is the begining part to the Dora theme song on our cd). I was in shock that she actually recognized a character and then remembered the theme song and was saying it. It was so sweet and then the little girl ran over and was like "Yeaaaa sweetie this is my new Dora bike", it was so sweet because it was like they were having a little kid conversation and the whole time Addison is going "Da Da Da Da"!!!! After we got home we were in the bathtub and she kept pointing to the basket on the floor where her bath toys are kept and was going "moo moo moo -brief pause -ca ca ca" She was wanting her little floaty cow thing!!! I gave it to her and she was laughing and going "moo moo moo"!! She just impresses me so much and I know how biased I am but it just amazes me how smart she is. When we read our bedtime story (Good Night Moon) she points to everything I say, like when I mention the big red balloon she points to it on the page and then will look at me to see if I see her pointing to it, it is so cute. Ok I guess I can quit boasting about my child now. Oh and another thing--I am so baby hungry. Our friends Tim and Nichole just had a baby and our neighbors did also and while I was at my neighbors last night holding her beautiful, tiny little girl it made me want another one soooooo bad. I just miss that time when they are that little and now that I have been through it and kind of know what to expect I think I will be more relaxed and will be able to enjoy that time when they are so small and so baby!!!!!! Sometimes I feel guilty thinking that I want another one so bad because I really love Addison so much and love spending every waking minute with her and I know she is only one (that sounds so crazy saying that) but I think she would love a little baby brother or sister and so would I. I really want her to be at least two though before we have another one so I am anxiously waiting until the begining of next year so we can start thinking about trying!!!! It makes me so excited to think about being pregnant again. I just loved it, I loved the feelings, the anticipation and the beauty of it all. Ok I am really starting to sound mushy so I will stop now. Ta Ta!!!
