Just wanted to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to our neighbors Scott and Farrah (and BIG Brother Creed) on the birth of their brand new beautiful baby GIRL Asher Olivia!!! She was 7lb's 5oz and 19 inches long. Her gender was a surprise so we were all very anxious to find out if it was a boy or a girl and we are so excited it is a girl. Yay Addison has a new GIRL friend right next door. Also we want to wish Tim and Nichole good luck on the upcoming (like within hours) birth of their new baby girl Sophia Marie!!! Yay girls, girls, girls!!!!!!!!!! We rock!!!

    ~Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon~

Addison has been frequenting the area behind the rocking chair and then overheard making tooting noises, crouching and then peeking around the chair to see if anyone is watching and will sometimes say "hi" and then proceeds to continue her business. She then meanders over to where anyone is and they get a nice big whiff of something not too pretty. It's really funny, not very pretty, but pretty darn funny. The concentration on her face is hilarious. She is our sneaky little pooper hider. At least I know when she goes so I can go and change her right away.Unlike this morning we I went in to get her and it looked like a poopie land mine went off in her crib!! Ok enough about poop-hope no one is eating and reading this--sorry!!!

What a busy week we had. Tuesday we had playgroup and had so much fun. Harrison, Alex and Baby Emily came over to play and we had lots of fun and Laurie made a yummy yummy Taco ring and we had cookies and monkey bread too--yum yum it's all going straight to my bumm!. Addison was very "protective" of her toys. She was prancing around as the Queen of her castle, it was all very cute. Wednesday I worked and happened to be working with all the girls that were at playgroup and we had much fun. Thursday we went to storytime at the library and Addison had a blast! She has so much fun singing and dancing with all the other kids. There was a 2 month old there and Addison kept walking over to her mom and repeatedly saying "baby, baby" it was so precious. That afternoon we had to go pick up my little brother and sister from school because I was watching them for a couple of days. After we picked them up we went and got some yummy yummy sushi. I was feeding Addison some chicken terriaki with chop sticks and she thought this was hilarious. After dinner we went over to Toys-R-Us and got some "stuff" and then we were home to do some homework, after homework we made a quick stop to watch Wes hit some homeruns and then we were back home for baths, storytime and bed. The next morning I was up at 5, showered, studied for NRP (CPR for babies) that I had that morning, got the kids up and ready, made scrambled eggs (per Nicki), went ovr spelling words with Nicki, dropped them off at school, off to Starbucks for another quick study of NRP, went to NRP, passed in 2 hours, did some major shopping (got 3 really really cute dresses!!), ate lunch at Panera, off to pick up kids from school, went to Home Depot to make some more copies of my car key so I don't lock Addison in the car again, picked up Addison from Grammies, picked out a movie at Blockbuster, went home to wait on Wes to get home, went to Chilis for dinner, Addison choked and then barfed EVERYWHERE, had to leave Chilis without dinner, got home, everyone showered due to the massive amounts of goldfish puke dripping from their hair and clothes, ordered pizza, played with Addison, Nicki read Addison a million books, put Addison to bed, watched The Last Mimzy with the kids, they fell asleep, then the tooth fairy paid a visit to Nicki and I went to bed. WHEWWW!!! What a day, I felt like a real mom, with three kids, It was so tiring but oh so much fun and I can't wait to have a house full of kids!!!!! The next morning we got up, ate some more pizza (like I needed more), played with Addison until she went down for a nap, dropped the kids back off at home, went to a barbque at my grandparents for some swimming, yummy food and lots of nana/papa/aunt/uncle/cousin time, came home, napped for only 30 minutes, Nana came over to watch Addison and me and Wes went out to Fishbones for dinner with Tim and Nichole, had HORRIBLE service, got home and was asleep before my head hit the pillow. Now I am at work with a little down time, work of all places, I know-CRAZY- so I thought I would journal my crazy week. Is everyone tired now from reading that--I am!!!

    11 Months Old

    Weight: 20 lbs. 5 oz
    Length: 30 in.

    Motor and Fine Development
Well Addison is officially walking. She took her first steps the day after she was 10 months and I missed it. I was at the movies but Wes got her second steps on video for me, it was too cute. After that she kept taking more and more steps every day. One day we went to visit with my best friends down in Tampa and Addison saw the little boys walking everywhere and since then she has been walking. It is so crazy to turn around and see her just chugging along behind me. She also can go from sitting to standing all by herself, she doesn’t need to pull up on anything she just up and goes!! She is also getting really good at doing hand motions with songs. She loves pat-a cake and twinkle twinkle little star. She also likes to sing open shut them and do the hand motions with that too. Oh and how could I forget this little piggy and the itsy bitsy spider. She is also getting really good at stacking her blocks and putting stuff inside other things. She also is getting really good at finding body parts. She points to her nose, her mouth, ear and her piggies (toes).

    Food
This little cow can eat. She can tear it up!!!! She loves to eat and she loves everything. The only thing she has never liked is peaches. I tried to sneak in some peach yogurt and she wouldn’t eat that either. Everything else she devours. She especially likes salmon and peas. She could eat those every day! She has started not to like water but we are working on that and of course she loves her juice. One more month to go and she will be on whole milk, yaaay no more EXPENSIVE formula to buy!!!!

    Sleep
Addison is the greatest sleeper. She still sleeps 12-13 hours at night, usually from 8 until 8 or 9 and takes her two 2 hour naps. It is very nice because she gets enough sleep and is never cranky, usually never cranky unless she is sleepy. At night before she goes to bed she loves to cuddle with me in her pink chair and sing lullabies, it’s our (I guess I mean my) favorite part of the day.

    Verbal Development
Addison is talking more and more. She says, mama, mommy, dada, nana, papa, me (maybe for grammie), kitty, dog, oggie (doggie), baby, Ella, Bella, bye, hi, nite nite, owe, oh, yea, duck, ball, and I’m sure there are more that I’m forgetting. She’s still not really doing sign language I think because she would just rather say it!!! She knows how to sign milk, more, eat, and light.

    Teeth
We have our 4 bottom teeth, 1 top tooth and 2 more top teeth coming in, and maybe more she just hates for me to look in her mouth.

    Favorites
Addison’s favorite thing to do right now is walking. She loves to walk. She also loves to run around and have us chase her around the family room, it’s fun to see her get so excited and squeal. She also loves her books, loves them loves them loves them. She always wants to read them and play with them, I guess it’s because we have so many of them, thanks to Uncle Alex and Aunt Nicki. Her favorite book is her Ladybug Book and her photo album. She loves to look at her photo album and find mama and dada and baby. Singing and dancing to songs is also what most of our day revolves around. We always have the music playing and she loves to sing and dance to them. We went to storytime at the library and she had so much fun dancing and clapping with all the kids, and she also thought she was the star of the show, my daughter, nooooo! In the afternoon when Wes gets home from work she goes nutso. She starts screaming and throwing herself all over the place and showing off like he’s never seen her stuff before. She just gets so excited and struts her stuff, and this goes on for a while. I still can’t believe that in one month my sweet tiny 6 lb little baby will be a year old. It has flown by and I am having so much fun watching her learn and grow and turn into a little person. She’s so amazing and it’s hard to imagine my life before her and I sometimes wonder what in the world we did before her, it’s just so hard to imagine our lives without her. She is such a blessing and such a wonderful daughter, I love her so much!!!!!

Well today we officially had our second playgroup!!!! We went to the Splash Zone and the kids had soo much fun splashing and crawling around in the water. Addison was there along with Harrison, Rylan, Wesley and Madison. And oh yea, hold you breath everyone, I didn't take any pictures. Can you believe it, I know me either. We were just having so much fun and also chasing the little rugrats everywherethat I couldn't break away to get any pictures. Oh well, you can just sit back and picture it, 4 moms, 5 kids running around in the water trying to get into the deep end, and oh yea I forgot, the little boy who walked right over to Addison and tried to dunk her in. I could have kicked his little hinney (sp?) but there were too many witnesses!!! Anyways we are having lots of fun hanging out with the girls from work and their kiddos and hope to keep the fun rolling!!!

I guess I could add something about Addison too. Today she said duck for the first time. She has been carrying around her little bath rubber duckie and was holding it in her highchair and I said Addison what do you have and she said ducka, I don't know where the a at the end came from but it was so cute and she said it 3 more times after that. She has also been calling our cats dog for the past 2 days too and I keep trying to correct her but she just says dog and screams it at them, it's hilarious. Ok well she is pointing at her highchair so I guess she wants some lunch. Toodles!!!!

So...I hate to blog about myself here, seeing as it's Addison's webpage and all BUT I have to. I am officially at my pre-pregnancy weight--YAAAY!!! I think I am actually 5 pounds below it because I think I lied at my first visit--but oh well! It all started about 3 1/2 months ago. When Addison was 6 months old she stopped nursing and the next month I did nothing different, I ate the same crappy way I was eating before and did nothing to exercise, besides shopping of course. After about a month of this I weighed myself and I had GAINED 15 pounds!!! I was horrified but knew I had to start doing something about it or I would wind up being a fattie mommy and never be skinny again. SO, I started working out 5-6 days a week and eating better. Now I still have my glass (or 2) of wine a night and eat what I want on weekends. After about 3 1/2 months I have lost 20 POUNDS and I am so excited and so proud of myself. I feel amazing, I have more energy and I feel good in my clothes, and I feel younger and less frumpy.I would like to lose 10-15 more pounds and when I do Wes has agreed that we can go on a little mini vacation to like the carribean or something so we'll so how that ends up, if I actually get down to my dream weight. Now I hate to go on ranting about myself but I am just so proud and wanted to share my happiness.

Missy:  Congrats! I know how difficult it can be to shed those last couple of lbs.

Addison's first family vacation was so much fun yet we are so glad to be home sweet home. We went to the Keyes for 4 days and had a lot of fun. Addison was so good in the car. We left around 2am on the way there so she was only up for a bit in the morning but she had her snacks and watched Little Einsteins and was great. I think she was more excited about the fact that we turned her carseat around a little early for the trip. She was super excited to actually see and not have to stare at the back of the seat. The ride home was a little bit longer than anticipated. What usually should take only 2 hours to get out of the Keyes took us over 4 hours. I guess everyone and their freakin mothers were trying to get home and so we were stuck!! The tail end of the drive Addison got a little fussy but I jumped into the backseat and sang some silly songs with her and she winded down and then fell asleep until we got home. She loves to sing twinkle twinkle little star now and she throws her hands in the air and twinkles them, it is so sweet.
We got to go down to Key West and hang out for the aftrenoon and it was fun but so darn hot and sweaty! We took Addison to the Southermost Point and that was pretty cool. We never got to take her out on the boat which I was kind of sad about but we have next year and that didn't stop me from getting her in her lifejacket and taking some pics of her in the Mighty Turk at the dock!!! Me and Wes caught some Lobster and I shot a Grouper which was really cool. I didn't really want to do any diving but I went with my dad, a.k.a. "King of The Sea", and had a lot of fun catching the lobster and then shooting the fish. Addison did really well sleeping. She slept in the pack -n-play and didn't deviate from her normal sleep routine at all, it was great. She actually took longer naps there than at home, fun for me, more reading out on the dock in the sun. On a side note, I read Dear John by Nicholas Sparks and it was so good and highly reccomend it to anyone who loves his books and wants a good cry.
Addison had a lot of fun with Papop, Grandma Dee and Aunt Nicki and Uncle Alex. She was saying Papop (more like papa but thats ok) and all kinds of other things. We were out on the dock looking at fish in the canal when a dog started barking and out of nowhere Addison says "oggie" (short for doggie) and it was so cute, we all started laughing and clapping and of course she just ate that up and got all excited and started showing off. She's such a little ham!!! Well it's good to be home and we had a great time on our little mini vacay!!!

This girl can EAT!!!!! Oh my gosh!!! I swear Addison totally takes after me and Wes in the food department, the girl will eat anything and will eat all day long if we let her. We went to Chilis last night with some friends and she ate like 1/4 of my meal and wanted more.I had grilled chicken, black beans, corn and brocolli. She loved it all and ate so much. It was hilarious because she would eat what I gave her and then beg for more!!! This morning for breakfast she ate an ENTIRE nutrigrain bar and a 4oz yogurt!! Holy Cow!!! I guess she's just a growing girl!

We went to Tampa today and hung out with my best friends from School. We had so much fun, I have never seen Addison play so hard! She was watching the boys, Talan and Andrew, walking everywhere and so I think that made her perfect her walking. She was walking everywhere, from one room to the other. It was almost perfect, she is learning now that she has to walk slower so that she can maintain her balance and stay on her feet. We got to meet our newest little guy, Leslie's sweet Noah. He was so darn cute and such a cuddle bug, it made me really want a little baby boy, not quite yet though!
