Miss Addison did something hilarious today!! Well, I guess it started a couple of nights ago...I was singing to her in her rocking chair and she looked at me and I could have sworn she said something but then I was like, no way. Last night I happened to mention it to Wes and he was like, yea I thought I heard her say that too. So, today I was making her lunch and she looked right up at me and said "Amy"!!! I was like nooooo Addison it's "Mommy" and she just stared at me and said "Amy"!!! It was hilarious!

Addison has been taking more and more steps everyday. Today she actually walked like 5 steps, walked while turning in a circle and then took another 3 steps, it was so cute. Wev'e also got 3 teeth coming in and they still don't seem to bother her at all, knock on wood!

Addison got to play with dogs for the first time a couple of days ago. We went to see my friend Leigh Anne and her new baby and she had a bulldog and a black Lab. They were so sweet and Addison just thought they were the greatest things ever. She would start to crawl after them and then when they realized she was right behind them they started coming after her to lick her to death and she would turn and haul butt towards me while laughing like crazy. This went on for a while and she loved every minute of it!

My baby took her 1st STEPS!!!!!!!! I, of course was not there, but my wonderful husband caught the 2nd steps on video for me!!!!!!! I went to see Knocked Up at the movies, which I rarely go out without her or Wes, and she decided to show off for her Daddy. When I got home Wes told me he caught some "interesting" things on video, and I thought, oh crap what did he find, hidden dirty clothes or something gross that I had done, not that I do that kind of stuff but anyway, I sat down to look at the videos and I thought to myslef, OH MY GOD I bet she took her first steps, and sure enough!!!! My baby is grwing up, and I hate it!!!! It's all too fast for me but I love her so much and she is my GIRL!!!!! You Go Girl!!!!!

Motor and Fine Development
I am cruisin for a bruisin!! Just Kidding. Addison is cruising everywhere. She loves to walk back and forth alongside the couch and she loves to race around the ottoman. She goes at an amazing speed, it’s hilarious because she gets going so fast and she tumbles over! She can stand alone for a minute or two and then she falls down. She has taken a step but it’s from the ottoman to the couch and she kind of takes the step and then falls into the couch so I don’t think it really counts as her “first step”. She loves to play and climb all over her little chair. She will go and get a book and then sit in her chair, it’s adorable. She loves to pull all of her books and toys off the shelves and then do it all over again. She is into everything and loves to go anywhere and everywhere. She has become our little water baby. She loves to go in the pool. Since quitting swim lessons I have kind of been practicing what they did with her, but much more gentle. I will let her go under for a few seconds and she is starting to finally close her mouth when she goes under. I will also show her where the side of the pool is and then let her go under and she will go towards the wall! Addison also has become quite the dance machine. She likes for me to sing shake your bootie and she shakes her little bootie! I like to clap all the time, especially if I hear people clapping on TV and I like to wave bye bye but it is towards myself. Also, if you ask me how big I am I hold my arms out to the side and smile!!!

Food
I am officially drinking from a sippy cup. No more bottles!!!!! Addison drinks all her milk, water and juice from her sippy cups. She has also started to practice using a spoon. We usually end up making a huge mess but practice makes perfect! We have also tried soooooo many new foods this month. We usually eat some yogurt and cheerios or mini eggos or toast for breakfast. For lunch we usually have a baby veggie, some cheese and turkey or ham and some fruit, either from the jar or diced fruit. For dinner we usually give her bits and pieces of what we are eating. The other night we went to Outback and I had salmon and she loved it, I kept having to give her bites because she wanted more and more!!!! She will pretty much eat whatever you put in front of her. She also started eating the mini goldfish and loves them!!!

Sleep
I’m still sleeping 12-13 hours at night and I still take two 1 ½-2 hour naps. She no longer wakes up crying in the middle of the night and goes to sleep all by herself. She has this new blanket that my sister got her for a shower gift that she loves. It is silky on one side and soft on the other. She loves for me to lay her down on the silky side and she pulls up the sides to her face and rubs on it, it is so cute.

Verbal Development
I am talking a lot. I will sit and have a total conversation with myself and I totally know what I am talking about even if no one else does. I say dada, dayeeee (daddy), a perfected mama (which mommy loves!!!), hi, occasionally bye bye, occasionally kitty, meow, occasionally baby, nana, and ni ni (night night). When I say to her what does a kitty say she says meow meow and it is so cute. She will also sing if I sing Old Macdonald had a farm, she will sometimes go eye eye oooo and then you say he has a kitty on his farm and she says meow meow meow!!!! She also likes to sing like she’s singing the alphabet when one of her toys plays the song. She signs milk and light.

Teeth
We have our 3 bottom teeth.

Favorites
My favorite thing to do is wrestle with my daddy!! Its so much fun, we roll around on the floor and he tickles me. I also love to play with my magnets. I have alphabet and farm animal magnets and I love to pull them all off the fridge and play with them. I love to play peek a boo. I will crouch down in front of the couch and daddy will act like he has no idea where I am and then I pop up and he acts scared and we do this over and over, it’s so much fun!!! I love to push my little cart thing around the family room but when I get stuck and I can’t turn it around I get so mad and I cry. I also love to look at pictures of me and mommy and daddy. I have a little photo album and I love to look at it and say baby, mama, and dada. I also like to play where’s the nose game. If you say Addison where is your nose, she will grab her nose and scrunch it all up and she will grab your nose too if you ask her where it is. She’s is so adventurous and curious and it is getting harder and harder to keep up with her. She is so much fun and is just such a good baby. At the end of the day I’m so relieved when she goes to bed but then when I go to bed I cant wait until the morning so we can play and have fun all over again!!!! I love being a mom!!!!!
