Happy Memorial Day!!! We had such a wonderful holiday weekend! We went to New Symrna Beach for the weekend and had so much fun. We stayed with our friends Mick and Leah in their condo and got to also hang out with my Dad and kids because they happened to be staying only 3 condo's down from us. It was so much fun to see Addison in the water. She loved the pool, she kept spashing around and had a grand ole time. We put her in the ocean too and she seemed to like that as well. She was sitting in just a bit of water and there were teeny tiny little waves that came and she kind of just splahed at them and then a huge wave came and knocked her over and she went under and I kind of freaked a little but then she came up and just smiled and went about her busines like nothing happened~it was too cute. She got to play with her Aunt Nicki in the pool and in the sand. I think Addison liked eating the sand more than anything else. She also was so cute because we had a bucket filled with water and she kept dipping her shovel in it and licking the salt water off it, and she did this over and over! On Saturday night we went to this really cool restruant called, The Garlic, and had dinner and it was so yummy. While we were eating I see Leah jump up on top of her chair and yell baby possum, it was hilarious because a baby possum came running up and under our table, we were freaking out! The middle of the restruant was open and there were all these huge oak trees everywhere so I think the possum was trying to find a tree to run up!! Addison did so good sleeping in her pack n play and staying somewhere that wasn't her home, she even took her naps great!! Yesterday we were back in town and Nana came over and played with Addison for a while and then we went over to the pool at Grammie's and had a barbque and that was fun too. We put Addison in the pool again and she loved it, she was playing with Wes and splashing and blowing bubbles and it was so cute!! All in all we had a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to do it again!!!!

Motor and Fine Development
I am still crawling all over the place. I can pull myself up to standing on just about everything, including mommy!! I can walk behind my push-toy and my music table! My pincer grasp is getting much better too. I am getting much better at feeding myself. I usually pick up a handful of stuff and by default one or two make it into my mouth. Sometimes though I can pick up one single thing and make it into my mouth.

Food
I’m still taking four bottles a day and sometimes I drink juice from my sippy cup. I hold my own bottle and feed myself but mommy still feeds me before bedtime because she likes to cuddle with me!!!! I’m eating a little bit of table food now and I like it so far. Mommy cuts up veggies like zucchini, squash and carrots for me to pick up and I love it. I love peas too, they are easy to get into my mouth. I also just started eating yogurt and that’s really yummy. Oh and I tried mashed potatoes and French toast too!! I still love my cheerios and my puffs!!!

Sleep
I have finally gotten a good routine going!!! I sleep about 11 hours at night and I take a 1 ½ - 2 hour nap in the morning and the same in the afternoon, although mommy had to wake me up after three hours the other afternoon because it was getting late. I can finally go to sleep on my own now and this makes mommy and daddy really happy, mommy puts me in my crib, gives me my binkie and my blankie and turns on my rainforest music and I’m out like a light.

Verbal Development
I still just babble a lot. I think I know though what mama and dada means finally, especially when I’m tired or upset I like to cry out mama!!!!!! So I pretty much just say mama dada, nana, and Grammie has heard me say kitty!!! I still sign “milk” but not anything else, mommy is working at it.

Teeth
Yaaaaay-finally I have two teeth!!!!!!! They are the two bottom ones. They didn’t bother me at all and now I just look so cute with my little teeth!!!!!

Favorites
One of my favorites right now is my little pink car. I love it—mommy pushes me around the block in it almost every day, and sometimes more than that!!! It is so much fun, I love to jump I it and honk the horn, it is so cool. I also like my new bike seat, but I HATE the helmet, it gets in my eyes and I can’t see!!!! I love playing with all my toys, especially my music table and I still love all my books. My Grandma Dee gave me a huge box of books and I love them. I really like to help mommy turn the pages but I would rather turn them the wrong way and go backwards!!!! I also found out that I love to play with dogs. My friend Andrew has a dog and I got to play with her and pull her ears and her nose and she didn’t mind one bit, she even gave me a kiss. I like my Grammie’s dog Toby, but he’s really big and I don’t think he would let me pull on him!!!!! Maybe one day my Daddy will get me a dog and it will be so much fun !!!!!!

YAAAAAY!!!! Addison is finally getting a real live TOOTH!!!!!!! It's been meandering beneath the gum line for a couple of days but yesterday it finally broke through and just the tippy tippy top of the tooth is out!!!! I'm sure it will be a couple of more days until the whole tooth is out but it's about time!!!! It hasn't seemed to phase Addison one bit--hopefully I'm not jinxing myself!Oh yea-it's one of the bottom teeth and the one right next to it is coming in too!!!!

Motor and Fine Development
I am a crawling maniac. I crawl everywhere I can go, even places I’m not supposed to go!!!! I love to pull myself up too. I can pull myself up on just about anything, the couch, the baby gates and almost everything else. Sometimes when I am being super brave I will pull myself up and then let go with one hand!!!! Mommy prays every night that I won’t start walking soon but I’m thinking I will!!!! I am trying to eat finger foods, like puffs and cherrios, but I can grab them and then get them to my mouth but most of the time I won’t let go so I will work on that this month!!!! I also can give myself my own bottle—most of the time!!!!

Food
I drink about four bottles a day now and am eating lots of baby food. I love my sweet potatoes and my applesauce. I pretty much like almost everything mommy gives me but sometimes when she gives me peaches I’m not to sure about them and I gag a little. I love puffs and mommy just started giving me some cherrios too, which I like a lot better than the puffs.

Sleep
I’m still sleeping well at night but my naps aren’t going so good. Mommy tries to put me down in the morning and in the afternoon, but I just don’t wanna!! I am tired but I am just so excited about doing new things, like exploring and crawling, that I just don’t have time to nap. I will usually sleep for only 30 minutes to an hour—but usually it’s just 30 minutes and this drives mommy crazy!!!!!! I do like to sleep in my carseat when mommy and I go out for the day.

Verbal Development
I am talking lots. I love to babble and laugh. I say ma ma and da da and sometimes it sounds like I say na na but who knows!!!!! Most of the time when mommy is around and daddy isn’t I will say da da all day long, but when daddy’s around and mommy isn’t I say ma ma all day log—it’s kind of funny!!! I have also done my first sign!!! I can sign milk. Mommy is working on mommy daddy, eat and bath, but I’m still not quite sure about it all. All I know is I definitely have the milk sign down to a pat!!!!

Teeth
Still no teeth. Mommy calls me the toothless wonder!!!!!

Favorites
My favorite thing to do is to crawl!!!! I love to chase the cats, but they just keep running away. Grify has been a little more playful though until I grab a hold of his tail land then he runs away. I really like to read and play with books. Mommy always reads to me and I like the books that have flaps and different textures. My favorite thing about the books is trying to tear them up and eat them. One of my other favorite things to do is go on walks with mommy. At night she walks with our neighbor Farrah and she wears me in my Baby Bjorn carrier and I really like it-I usually fall asleep in it and mommy thinks it is so cute!!! My number one favorite thing to do right now is to escape from the family room into the kitchen. Mommy put a gate up to the kitchen and I love to sneak out and go for the cat food. It makes mommy really mad but I just want to explore and she doesn’t understand that!!!! Every time she closes the gate I crawl to it, pull myself up and cry because I want FREEEEEEE!!!! I just like to play in the kitchen, I like to go over to the refrigerator and play with my Leap Frog magnets and I also like to bang Tupperware on the tile—it’s really loud and fun!
